BBC radio presenteralso known for his television programs, Michael Mosley67 years old, is missing since wednesdayafter going for a walk on the Greek island of Symi.

The search has continued on the island with the Greek authorities, the British Consulate and the local community working tirelessly to find Michael Mosley.

Bailey Mosley has thanked everyone involved in the search and stated that the family “won’t lose hope“.

“The search is ongoing and our family is incredibly grateful to the people of Symi, the Greek authorities and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help find Michael,” the relatives also said.

Dr. Mosley, known for his work on television programs and on BBC Radio 4disappeared after leaving his wife on the beach of Agios Nikolaos around 1:30 p.m. local time in Greece and without his phone while walking around the island, as reported by his wife.

Search through the mountain

British agencies have seen a new video surveillance camera (one of the last known sightings) of a man believed to be Mosley walking with an umbrella next to the marina in Pedi village on Wednesday, heading into rocky hills.

The new images seem show the man in good shape and walking with a firm stepan anonymous police officer told BBC News.

The Greek authorities have moved the search operation to a mountainous part of the islandwhere it is believed that Dr. Mosley could have tried to lengthen his route – after the images that the camera took – by a longer path than originally planned.

So far, police and firefighters have used drones, a helicopter, divers and sniffer dogs to try to locate the missing presenter.

A hot route

The mayor of SymiEleftherios Papakaloudoukas, has stated that “the search will continue until Dr. Mosley is found.”

Papakaloudoukas also added that he was unsure why the missing presenter would attempt to “make a long and potentially arduous journey “with so much heat”but I hoped they would find it “safe and sound”.

Before turning to television, Mosley he was a doctor and had graduated in London. His wife is also a doctor and author, and they are both advocates of a healthy lifestyle.

The television and medical community has expressed concern and sent messages of support to the Mosley family during this difficult situation.
