What will happen to the Disney+ subscription?

Starting with this relaunch, subscribers will be able to find on Disney+ the company’s general entertainment proposal under a new Star section (including titles Searchlight, 20th Century Studios and FX, and original productions created entirely in Latin America), as well as events live and the ESPN offer.

Disney+ parental controls will ensure that the platform continues to be a suitable streaming experience for all members of the family. Subscribers will be able to create PIN-protected profiles and set access limits based on content rating for certain profiles.

With this new integrated experience, different subscription alternatives will be provided so that subscribers can have maximum flexibility when choosing an option that suits their preferences and needs, and that more and more people can enjoy the wide catalog of content from The Walt Disney Company.

In this sense, starting June 26, consumers will be able to choose between three Disney+ subscription plans: Premium, Standard and Standard with Ads. The latter will initially be available only in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, to be integrated into commercial partner packages.

If Star+ is not available in a particular Latin American country, then starting June 26, only Disney+ Premium will be available in that territory.

New subscription plans on Disney+

To better accommodate different consumer preferences and needs, Disney+ has introduced three new subscription plans:

Disney+ Premium: Includes family content, general entertainment from Star and sports from ESPN with the best audio (Dolby Atmos) and video (UHD/HDR) quality. It allows use on up to 4 devices simultaneously and offers live broadcasts of all ESPN linear channels and exclusive streaming sporting events. In addition, it allows you to download up to 25 titles on a maximum of 10 devices.

Disney+ Standard: Offers Star’s catalog of family content and general entertainment, as well as ESPN sports with 1080 pixel video quality and Stereo 5.1 audio. This plan allows you to watch content on up to two devices at the same time and download up to 25 titles on 10 devices.

Disney+ Standard with Ads: Features Star’s catalog of family content and general entertainment with commercials, as well as ESPN sports with 1080 pixel video quality and Stereo 5.1 audio. Includes live broadcasts from linear channels ESPN and ESPN 3.

Initially this plan will be available only in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, and will be integrated into packages from commercial partners such as Mercado Libre, which will offer it through its benefits program in those five countries. Current Disney+, Star+ or Combo+ subscribers will directly upgrade to the Premium plan starting June 26.
