According to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Rodolfo Zea Navarro, in the first half of 2022, the agricultural and agribusiness sector exported 6,116 million dollars, registering an increase of 38.8% compared to the same period in 2021, whose figure was 4,406 million dollars.

The head of the rural portfolio stressed that, during these six months, the agricultural and agro-industrial sector participated with the 21.4% of the total exports in value of the country.
The growth of traditional products in exports between January and June continues to be representative: coffee at 2,093 million dollars (63.9%) and flowers at 1,226 million dollars (27.2%).

For their part, the non-traditional presented a 36.2% growth with exports for 2,278 million, among which the growth of products such as: Palm oil Y palm kernel (73%), sugar (3. 4%), gulupa (Four. Five%), tahiti lime (81%) and trout (41.4%).
For the last 12 months (July 2021 – June 2022) the sector exported a total value of 11,128 million dollars, presenting an increase of 31.4% compared to the same period a year ago.

The main destinations to which Colombian agricultural and livestock products arrived were: United States, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Spain, Japan, United Kingdom, Italy and Egypt.
