Data security is a key aspect for professional users and also for home users. We are increasingly exposed to a greater number of threats and data encryption is crucial to keep our files safe, whether local or in the cloud.

NAS provide a simple way to have our own private data storage system. Specifically, QNAP has its application myQNAPCloud from where you can centralize access to the data stored on the NAS from anywhere and also synchronize it with third-party clouds.

From the application itself, which can be accessed through the QNAP web interface, it is possible to configure encryption and create a private encryption key.
