Two shepherds killed in Israeli bombing of southern Lebanon

June 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least two shepherds, who were brothers, died this Sunday night after an Israeli air raid hit their vehicle in the town of Hula, in southern Lebanon, where the Israeli Army exchanges attacks with the party. -Lebanese Shiite militia Hezbollah following the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

“They refused to leave the village and continued working, producing milk and yogurt that they distributed to residents of neighboring villages,” a resident of the town told the Lebanese newspaper ‘L’Orient le Jour’, whose sources have confirmed that both victims are civilians.

Another resident has expressed his concern because his “elderly father” and his other siblings have been left without anyone to take care of their needs, and that even part of the house has been partially destroyed.

The two brothers have been identified as Ali Kassem, 31, and Mohamad Kassem, 41. So far, Hezbollah has not claimed that they are “martyrs” of the group.

On the other hand, the Israeli Army has confirmed on social media a series of attacks against Hezbollah “military buildings” in the towns of Al Naqura, Marun al Ras and Al Hiyam in southern Lebanon.

Israel and Hezbollah – backed by Iran and which has significant political weight in Lebanon – have been engaged in a series of clashes since October 8, a day after the attacks carried out by Hamas, which left nearly 1,200 dead and about 240 kidnapped, according to Israeli authorities.
