June 2 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Up to ten people have lost their lives in the explosion that occurred at a gas cylinder refilling center in the city of Hyderabad, while 13 more people are injured, seven of them in critical condition, as reported by health authorities.

The Civil Hospital reported this Sunday the death of one of the injured people due to the severity of their burns, Pakistani television Geo TV reports.

Among the deceased there are people between 6 and 36 years of age, while among the injured there are children up to two years old.

The explosion occurred last Thursday in a liquefied gas cylinder refilling store. The subsequent fire affected a large number of people.

Furthermore, when people approached to collaborate in extinguishing the fire, a second explosion occurred that spread the fire to other nearby inhabited buildings.

After the incident, the authorities have ordered the closure of all cylinder refilling points and have announced that it will be necessary to obtain a license and that there will be no gas warehouses in populated areas. They will thus have to be located on highways far from the city.
