The first Legend of Zelda Lego is the 2,500-piece Great Deku Tree set

After Mario and Animal Crossing, the next Nintendo intellectual property to have its own Lego set will be The Legend of Zelda. The Great Deku Tree 2 in 1 will be available from September 1 for a price of 299.99 euros.

The Great Deku Tree set has 2,500 pieces and allows you to build a recreation of the iconic tree as in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition to the tree, the set includes settings already seen in video games such as the Master Sword pedestal from Breath of the Wild and Link’s House from Ocarina of Time. Both builds offer interactive options that allow you to animate the Great Deku Tree’s face with a lever or open its mouth. This last action reveals a Skulltula, a recurring enemy in The Legend of Zelda saga. The foliage of the tree also changes (green or pink).

Regardless of the version chosen, the Master Sword pedestal and Link’s House can be built as smaller models. Additionally, the set includes four minifigures. In the Breath of the Wild version, Princess Zelda and Link wear blue outfits, while in the Ocarina of Time version we have Link and Young Link. The set can also be animated with creatures such as Hestu the Kork (with his maracas), smaller Korks, Baba Deku, Navi the fairy, a Deku Tree Sprout, and a Skulltula.

Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda saga, says that the Great Deku Tree was the first element of the franchise that they wanted to bring to the Lego universe. For his part, Wes Talbott, Lego designer, says that his users have been asking for a Lego set based on The Legends of Zelda for a long time, so he is delighted to work with Nintendo. The designer also says he is very pleased to have been able to offer a set that allows you to build two versions of the Great Deku Tree to cover Breath of the Wild and Ocarina of Time.

The expansion of The Legend of Zelda universe will not end with the Lego set. At the end of last year Nintendo announced that it was working on a live-action film under the direction of Wes Ball (The Maze Runner, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) and in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment, which will be responsible for the production. distribution.
