Female empowerment and courage will be recognized by the international NGO with impact in Colombia She Is in its two competitions: Innovation Tank and She Is Global Awards. Registration is open until May 30 so that women and girls leaders, as well as organizations, can register in these two spaces of recognition.

The awards will be held as part of the She Is Global Forum 2024, on August 8 and 9, in the Great Hall of Plaza Mayor Medellín, event with free admission with registration. The winners will receive incentives such as scholarships, seed capital and visibility of their projects.
According to She Is Global, this event will be attended by great international personalities such as Pashtana Durrani, founder of LEARN Afghanistan, an organization that advocates for the education of girls and women, winner in 2021 of the Tallberg-SNF-Eliasson Global Leadership Awards and World Education Champion for the Malala Fund.
Additionally, there will be Xiye Bastida, a 21-year-old Mexican climate justice activist, executive director of the Re-Earth Initiative, an international youth-led organization supporting frontline youth in 27 countries. She is the winner of the 2018 UN Spirit Award. Another personality who will join will be Livia Malcangio, director of Institutional Relations and Protocol of the Permanent Secretariat of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.
Space to recognize and learn from innovation
The Innovation Tank is a space designed for entrepreneurs from Colombia and Latin America to share their business models in the Great Ring of Dreams with an Elevator Pitch format. In addition, there will be scenarios dedicated to workshops and key notes on topics relevant to your entrepreneurship, innovation, brand management, storytelling and negotiation, choosing and rewarding the best.
“We decided to create the first Ring of Dreams and it is to give the opportunity for women from all over Colombia to present their entrepreneurial projects, through an Elevator Pitch and to have results, feedback, to be empowered and made visible in large scenarios where there are investors. , angel investors, seed capital, scholarships. For the first time, this entrepreneur goes up to show her projects and entrepreneurship, be it services, maquila, among others, and can not only expose herself, but also generate great opportunities.”explains Nadia Sánchez, founder of She Is.

The requirement for registration in this contest is that the venture is led by a woman and can be in the industrial, services, environmental, arts, technology, science, agricultural or any sector that has a social, economic and environmental impact. They do not have to be constituted as a Chamber of Commerce and girls from the age of 6 can apply, because there will be a special children’s category. Also, universities such as Javeriana, the University of Antioquia, the Center for Higher Studies (CESA), among others, will strengthen this space with their academic knowledge.
