AMD’s range of server processors has received a new line of products aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. It’s about the processors AMD EPYC 4004.
These CPUs are equipped with Zen 4 cores and promise better performance per dollar than competing solutions. AMD itself claims that an EPYC 4564P offers 80% more performance per dollar than an Intel Xeon E-2488.
In total, there are 8 processors that make up the family EPYC 4004 at its launch, without downloading the arrival of more models as time goes by. We have solutions that range from 4 cores like the EPYC 4124P,m to more powerful models like the EPYC 4584PX with 16 cores and a TDP of 120 W. This model has 128 MB of cache, but there is also the EPYC 4564P with the same cores and half the cache, but a TDP of 170W.
Their prices range from $149 for the most modest model to $699 for the most powerful variants. (AMD official price for purchases of 1,000 units)
