Microsoft has introduced new Surface laptops, the first from this brand to adhere to the ‘Copilot+ PC’ computer category with artificial intelligence, which also includes Samsung’s Galaxy Book4 Edge and Asus’ Vivobook S 15.

Copilot+ PC is a new category of Windows computers, which represents “the most significant milestone” for this operating system “in decades” and begins “a new chapter with AI innovation locally on devices,” as expressed by the company. company in its presentation.

Under its brand are the two Surface devices that Microsoft has also announced: Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, which will hit the market starting June 18, with prices starting at $999.

The new Surface Laptop features an updated design, with very slim bezels and an HDR touchscreen and haptic panel. It is available in a 13-inch size, with a battery life of up to 20 hours for local video playback. Ofrec up to 22 hours on the 15-inch model.

For its part, the new Surface Pro is a ‘two-in-one’ device, which equips an optional OLED screen with HDR and an ultra-wide field of view camera. It also improves performance with the Snapdragon X Elite and Plus processors and offers a range of up to 14 hours.

The Surface Pro Flex keyboard is the first ‘two-in-one’ keyboard designed to be used both on and off, integrating a haptic touchpad and serving as a charger for the Surface Slim Pen optical stylus.

SAMSUNG GALAXY BOOK4 EDGE

Samsung has also taken advantage of the ‘Copilot+ PC’ announcement to present its first member of this category: Galaxy Book4 Edge, with which it “redefines the PC experience and offers the most hyper-connected mobile AI ecosystem to date.”

It is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor and incorporates the ‘Galaxy AI’ generative AI feature set. It also has support for WiFi 7, offers up to 22 hours of battery life and comes with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rates.

Galaxy Book4 Edge strengthens its security with the Samsung Knox platform and will be available in 14- and 16-inch screen sizes, starting in June.

ASUS VIVOBOOK S 15

Asus has also presented its new Vivobook S 15 device, included in ‘Copilot+ PC’ and powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor. It offers a screen size of 15.6 inches with an OLED panel and a resolution of 2,880 x 1,620 pixels.

This Asus laptop integrates the AiSense IR camera, with which it detects the user’s presence and attention on the screen to dim or block it. Its battery reaches a range of up to 18 hours.

ACER, LENOVO, DELL

The list of Copilot+ PC equipment is expanded with confirmations from Acer, which will join this category with the Swift 14 AI, and from Lenovo, which has confirmed two computers: Yoga Slim 7x and ThinkPad T14s Gen 6.

Dell, for its part, has directly announced five computers: Latitude 5455, Latitude 7455, Inspiron 14, Inspiron 14 Plus and XPS 13 9345, all of them with Snapdragon X Elite or X Plus processors.
