Spider-Man is, without a doubt, one of the richest franchises when it comes to mythology. For decades, we’ve seen multiple alternate versions of the spider superhero in comics, animation, and, more recently, movies. Now, it has just been announced that one of the most beloved variants will finally make the leap to live-action.
In 2018, it premiered Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versean animated feature film that revealed iconic variants of the character: from Gwen Stacy until Peni Parker. One of the most beloved versions was Spider-Man Noir, played by the famous actor Nicolas Cage.
It seems that the participation of that character in the film’s story was enough to garner a new user base, which is why a live-action series will be produced that will possibly delve into his background.

Spider-Man Noir will have a live-action series for Prime Video with Nicolas Cage
On May 14, 2024, Vernon Sandershead of television at Amazon MGM Studios, confirmed that Spider-Man Noir will have a live-action adaptation for TV starring Nicolas Cage. At this time, the rest of the actors who will join the cast and plot details are unknown.
“Not to go tells the story of an elderly, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to deal with his past life as the city’s only superhero,” reads the official synopsis of the project.
The live-action series will premiere first in the MGM+ channel and will later have a global debut on the subscription service Prime Video from Amazon. That said, it is unknown when it will be available and how many episodes will make up its initial season.
This television project will be run by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfootwho will serve as showrunners and executive producers. Harry Bradbeerresponsible for the film saga Enola Holmeswill also be executive producer and will direct the first 2 chapters.
Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascalmembers of the original team of the film saga Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versewill help develop this production of Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
