Evolution Championship 2022 (EVO 202), the most important fighting game tournament, kicks off and will be held from August 5 to 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This edition celebrates 20 years of the great meeting where the best players from around the world meet to test their skills and win great prizes. It is clear that the tournament has undergone many changes: Super Smash Bros Ultimate has been left out; RTS and Sony Interactive Entertainment are behind the organization of the event and the competition returns to the face-to-face format after the pandemic. All this has changed the direction of EVO, however, this great meeting maintains its essence and fosters a passion for fighting games.
The games selected for this edition are Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Guilty Gear -Strive-, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood Type Lumina, dragon ball fighter z, Granblue Fantasy Versus Y Skullgirls: 2nd Encore. All the main tournaments and other activities will be broadcast on the Twitch platform through 8 channels. The main channel is dedicated to conferences and special announcements that will be broadcast throughout the 3 days and you will be able to watch the tournament of your choice on the remaining channels.
EVO Channels
In addition to the official tournaments, there are special competitions and exhibition fights that take place parallel to the main ones during the 3 days of the event. One of these additional tournaments is the MultiVersus, the first officially supported tournament of the crossover. These tournaments include games that were left out of the main selection and other classics.
EVO is characterized by receiving players from all over the world, so we will see Mexican participants and those from all over Latin America who will try to take the crown to their country. Some of them have had an outstanding role in recent tournaments: PacoTamago, Violent KainY Wero Asamiya in The King of Fighters XV[/url]. Other players like Chetoo They have achieved victory in online tournaments and some national face-to-face tournaments. Guilty Gear -Strive-, who will now try his luck competing against the world.
