We open Press Review with an article from the Spanish media ‘El País’ that states that the mother of Jorge Glas, former vice president of Ecuador, as well as his legal team, have filed criminal complaints against the Ecuadorian president, Daniel Noboa, after one month of the assault on the Mexican embassy in Quito, where Glas was seeking refuge, a police operation that ended with his arrest and entry into a maximum security prison. The information indicates that the crimes for which Noboa is accused include kidnapping, torture, forced disappearance, coercion, etc. Likewise, the defense of the former Correísta leader has turned to international institutions such as the UN or the IACHR in search of legal protection while his client remains in prison on a hunger strike.
