It seems that the motherboard manufacturers are preparing for the next generation of AMD processors. Recently we have seen how MSI included in a BIOS update compatibility with AMD CPUs next generationthe calls AMD Ryzen 9000 Series. Now it does ASUS also with a bios update in a large number of models of motherboards compatible with the socket AM5.
This update includes the new version 1.1.7.0 of AGESA Combo Pi for AM5 which offers support for these future processors. As there is still no official announcement from AMD, it is not specified. what is this next generationbut it is to be hoped that these are the next Ryzen 9000 Series. These next processors will have the same socketand therefore compatibility with the current plates with chipset 600 series.
The boards to which this BIOS update has been added are from the ROG, ROG STRIX, TUF GAMING, ProArt, PRIME, EX and AYW serieswith chipset X670(E), B650(E) and even the A620. You can download this update directly from ASUS support page or in this website that the manufacturer has left with all models compatible with this update.
