April 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Israeli Foreign Ministry has summoned the ambassadors of France, Japan, South Korea, Malta, Slovakia and Ecuador this week as a sign of protest for supporting this week's recognition of Palestine as a full UN state. the Security Council.

As reported by the Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Oren Marmorstein, all diplomats will receive a “strong protest” in person, as will the rest of the countries that voted in favor of the Algerian proposal, such as Russia or China.

The proposal was finally rejected by the exclusive veto of the United States on the grounds that it was a “premature initiative.”

The ambassadors, warns the Israeli spokesperson, will receive “the unequivocal message” that “both a political gesture towards the Palestinians and a call for the recognition of the Palestinian State — six months after the massacre of October 7 — represent a reward for The terrorism.

“Israel will not accept the establishment of a terrorist State that endangers its citizens,” adds the Ministry, which will also “clarify to ambassadors” that “instead of making political gestures that reward the terrorist organization Hamas, countries should “press Hamas to immediately release the 133 men and women held hostage.”
