( Business) –– The US economy added 528,000 jobs in July, according to the report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The figure doubled economists’ forecasts.
The unemployment rate fell to 3.5% after staying at 3.6% for four consecutive months.
Economists were expecting roughly 250,000 jobs to be added last month, according to Refinitiv.
July was the 19th consecutive month that US jobs have increased.
