April 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli Army announced this Thursday that it has concluded a specific operation this week on the center of the Gaza Strip, with a balance of about 40 “terrorists” killed and more than a hundred types of infrastructure destroyed, including a network of tunnels.
The operation has been carried out on the outskirts of the Nuseirat refugee camp. Among the destroyed infrastructures are two facilities for manufacturing projectiles and a network of underground tunnels that linked the aforementioned camp with Gaza City.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that they have managed to expand the Netzarim corridor that will allow them to carry out more direct incursions into the north and center of the Palestinian enclave, as well as control the flow of displaced people seeking to flee the south of the Strip.
At least 40 suspected terrorists have died during fighting with troops in recent days. Before the hand-to-hand clashes, Israeli aviation has been launching air strikes.
Since the beginning of the bloody military offensive on the Gaza Strip, Israel maintains that it has managed to kill more than 1,000 armed men from Palestinian militias, especially Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and destroyed more than 20 kilometers of underground tunnels.
