The Pakistani Army announced this Wednesday the death of seven alleged terrorists who have been detected trying to “infiltrate” the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, within the framework of an operation that took place in the region of North Waziristan.
“The infiltrators were surrounded, effectively confronted and, after an intense exchange of fire, the seven terrorists were sent to hell,” reads a statement from the Army Information Office (ISPR). The military, who carried out the operation on Tuesday in the town of Spinkai, have recovered “a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives from the killed terrorists.”
Furthermore, Islamabad recalled that it “has been constantly calling on the Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on its side of the border.” “The Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists to perpetuate acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” he added.
