At least 13 dead and 41 injured in a fire at a nightclub in Thailand

Aug. 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –

At least 13 people have died and 41 have been injured in a fire at a nightclub in the Thai city of Sattahip, in the south of the country, according to local authorities.

Around 1:00 am (local time) on Friday, a fire broke out at the Mountain B nightclub, killing at least four women and nine men, the ‘Bangkok Post’ reported.

The 41 injured – of which eight are in critical condition – have been transferred to a nearby hospital, according to the local Fire Department.

After several hours of work extinguishing the fire, the authorities have surrounded the premises, fearing that it may collapse, ‘Nation Multimedia’ has collected.

A video broadcast on networks shows dozens of people running through the main door of the building, some of them on fire, raising questions about whether the nightclub had a proper emergency exit.
