According to reports, the French company moved the game to a session called “Idle Games” on Ubisoft Connect. Those who try to run it will encounter a message that says: “You no longer have access to this game. Why don’t you visit the store to continue your adventures?”
Those who attempted to run the title from its existing executable file could only launch the game but nothing else. In Steam, players are required to enter a key to access the title. Naturally, the community is furious and lashed out at the company.
“Some government needs to intervene because I don't think it should be legal to remove products that were purchased legally,” one angry fan commented on Reddit. “If Ubisoft wants to say that we don't deserve access to their games, then maybe we shouldn't buy their titles,” said another.
