“President Javier Milei returns to Argentina on a flight that will depart tomorrow from the United States, to form a crisis committee in light of the latest events that have occurred in the Middle East with the offensive initiated by Iran against Israel,” shared the spokesperson for the Presidency through the social network X, formerly Twitter.
Consequently, the Argentine president has also canceled his planned trip to Denmark in order to establish contact with different Western leaders to address the situation.
However, “the Argentine delegation will sign the agreement for the acquisition of the F-16 fighter aircraft next Tuesday in Copenhagen,” the Presidency added.
MEXICO CALLS FOR “SELF-CONTAINMENT” BY THE PARTIES
For its part, the Mexican Foreign Ministry has warned “with deep concern” of the costs that Iran's attack against Israeli territory could have in terms of human lives and has condemned “the use of force in international relations.” .
In this sense, the Mexican Government has called on the parties, advocating “self-containment and the search for solutions peacefully to avoid the generalization of the conflict in the Middle East.”
Likewise, Mexico has stressed the importance of respecting international law “for the sake of international peace and security.”
Likewise, they have advised their nationals against traveling to the region and have urged them to take precautions and follow the recommendations of local authorities.
CHILE CONDEMNS THE ESCALATION OF TENSIONS IN THE MIDDLE EAST
The Chilean Foreign Minister, Alberto van Klaveren, has also expressed the Chilean Executive's concern regarding the latest events in the Middle East.
“We express our concern about the serious escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the Iranian attacks against Israel,” the minister said in a publication on the X social network.
“Chile condemns the use of force and defends International Humanitarian Law, which protects civilian lives in armed conflicts,” he added.
