Hamas and Hezbollah offer their condolences to Haniye for the death of three of his children in an Israeli attack

April 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Lebanese Shiite militia party Hezbollah have shown their condolences this Wednesday to the leader of the political arm of Hamas, Ismail Haniye, for the death of three of his children and two of his grandchildren in an attack by the Israeli Army in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian group, for its part, has indicated that these attacks by Israel are “desperate attempts” to “break the will” of the members of Hamas and the Palestinian people, according to a statement published by the Palestinian newspaper 'Filastín'.

“Our people, in all their factions, are united on the path of liberation, return and sacrifice of the blood and souls of their leaders, symbols, children and grandchildren in this blessed march,” Hamas added.

Furthermore, the deputy secretary general of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, has expressed his hope that “these sacrifices” represent a victory for the Palestinian people, as published by the Lebanese television channel Al Manar, which is affiliated with the group.

The three children and two grandchildren have died after being the target of an attack by the Israeli Army when they were traveling in a vehicle in the Shati refugee camp, in the north of the Gaza Strip.

“Praise God for this honor that he granted us through the martyrdom of my three children and some grandchildren,” said the head of Hamas, who has assured that 60 of his relatives have already been killed at the hands of Israel for decades.

He is not the first family member that Haniye has lost as a result of Hamas' bloody military offensive in response to the October 7 attacks. Barely a month after they began, his granddaughter Roaa Hammam died from the bombings.

According to the latest balance provided by the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, there are already more than 33,400 people dead, while the injured have exceeded the figure of 76,000, since the beginning of Israel's attacks six years ago. months.
