April 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The authorities of the Gaza Strip reported this Wednesday the death of more than 33,400 people since the beginning of the Israeli Army's military offensive on the Palestinian enclave more than six months ago in response to Hamas attacks.
In total 33,482 people have died, of which 122 have died in the last 24 hours, while another 76,049 have been injured. However, the figures could be higher, as indicated by the Gaza Ministry of Health, due to the large number of bodies that continue to be trapped under the rubble.
On the other hand, the rescue efforts of the lifeless bodies left in the city of Khan Yunis (south) and the surroundings of the Al Shifa Hospital (north) continue, after the discovery of 409 bodies was reported the day before.
The spokesman for the Civil Defense of the Gaza Strip, Mahmud Basal, told the Al Jazeera network this Wednesday that there are still dozens of bodies under the rubble of the Al Shifa Medical Complex.
“The occupation forces have hidden a large number of bodies of the martyrs in the Al Shifa Medical Complex,” denounced Basal, who has requested international help to continue with the recovery work.
