3 Aug. (Portaltic/EP) –
Google has released its latest update for Chrome 104, which integrates new features such as a tool to select and share part of the screen content and a redesign of its interface.
The company has released these news on your blog for developers, where he has shown examples of the new tools that this version integrates for his Chromebooks.
In the first place, it has presented a Chrome functionality that allows you to select and delimit a specific part of the screen when record or share content in a video conference.
Thus, thanks to this option, called Region Capture (‘Capture by Regions’), users will be able to skip other parts of the screen that contain sensitive information in presentations.
Also, the company has presented the so-called ‘Productivity launcher’ (‘Productivity launcher’), a button found in the Windows Start menu. Clicking on it opens a window that features a Google search bar and Assistant shortcut at the top.
Another new feature of the interface that Chrome 104 introduces is the availability of light and dark themes for all Chromebooks, as well as a new system tray, in which the clock, WiFi and battery status appear.
It should be remembered that Google is experimenting in this version of Chrome with the so-called Privacy Sandbox, a Google initiative with which it seeks to provide greater protection in the privacy of users.
With it, the company seeks to develop solutions to prevent tracking on websites, as well as gradually eliminate support for third-party ‘cookies’.
Also, as you remember How To Geek, Google is testing LazyEmbeds, a system that automatically lazy-loads part of the content embedded in a website, without being requested.
