Originally, Hewlett Packard was founded in 1939 by William Hewlett and David Packard, colleagues at Stanford University, in a garage they developed a first audio oscillator, the company chose Palo, Alto California as its headquarters, but little by little it began to expand all over the world.

It arrived in Mexico in 1982, when it was still a company focused on the manufacture of calculators. But in 2015, he decided to separate the businesses that became Hewlett Packard Enterprise, focused on technology solutions for companies, and HP Inc, dedicated to printers and personal computers.
