The Citibanamex historical archive is a founding member of the Mexican Association of Private Archives and Libraries, according to information from the bank, and its objective is to exchange information with the most important non-governmental associations.
The objects are protected by a door that was manufactured in 1898, by the Panzer Actiengesellschaft für Geldschrank Tresorbau und Eisen-Industrie, from Berlin.

“Over three decades, we have promoted the research and conservation of documents that have witnessed the most important events in the corporate and cultural life of the bank. A large part of the documentation that the Historical Archive protects is of great relevance to understand the episodes, functions, interactions, and projects that the bank has implemented since its foundation, as well as that of peer and similar institutions”, highlighted Manuel Romo , CEO of Citibanamex.
The archive keeps the bank’s historical pieces such as the 1972 ATM, the 1816 gold weighing basket, the piggy banks from the twenties of the last century or the same vault from more than a century ago.

Access location and times
The archive is located at Isabel La Católica 40, in the center of Mexico City, and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 00 hours.
