The amiibo collection of Super Smash Bros. is close to completion. Characters from the original roster are now available in the form of these figures, but some DLC are still missing. Precisely 2 of them are those of Minecraft and there is already a date for them to join your collection.
At the end of 2021, Nintendo reported that as it had done with the other characters of the fighting title, it would launch amiibo figures of Steve and Alex, the 2 characters of Minecraft invited as part of Fighters Pass Vol. 2whose debut was scheduled for spring 2022.

When will amiibo go on sale? Minecraft?
However, earlier this year Nintendo revealed that the premiere would be delayed due to “a delay in logistics and production”, which would make the figures go on sale later in the year, without further specifying this launch window. .
Fortunately, a few moments ago the company announced that there will be no further delay, but that the 2 figures already have a release date: next September 9. Along with the announcement, a new trailer was shared in which both amiibo can be seen up close.
It is important to remember that the amiibo announcement of the DLC characters from Super Smash Bros Ultimate It has been done according to the release order of these characters, so if this trend continues, the next amiibo to be revealed would be Sepphiroth, enemy of Final Fantasy 7. Nintendo hasn’t mentioned anything about it yet, but judging by the pace of these figures’ releases, it may be available as late as early 2023.
