It is known, for example, that the ‘Pro’ models of the new line will carry the chip the A16 Bionic, while the regular versions will continue with the A15 that incorporated the iPhone 13 generation.
Although not much is known about this new chip, the specialized technology media ‘MacWorld’ made some estimates in this regard. In this sense, they clarify that the A16 Bionic chip would be manufactured by the TSMC company with a 5 nanometer process. Same as with the A15 chip.
Also, the company would have opted for a third generation 5nm process, codenamed ‘N4P’.
Although not many improvements are expected in this component, the changes will be seen in performance and energy efficiency compared to the original 5 nanometers from TSMC. Specifically, it is expected that the third generation of thisarchitecture 11% faster and 22% more efficient.
Along with this, there could be a significant increase in RAM. The most recent report from the specialized newspaper ‘Digitames’ revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro will have 6GB of RAM, but with LPDDR5 architecturethat of the iPhone 13 Pro is LPDDR4X.
