Chile: Minister Fuentes received a senior official from the Chinese Foreign Ministry

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Ximena Fuentes, held a meeting with the director general of the Department of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Ambassador Cai Wei, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Chinese Foreign Ministry and by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Chile, Niu Qingbao. The meeting took place on July 21.

On the occasion, the authorities discussed issues of mutual interest, including the management and future production of vaccines in Chile.

Likewise, they reviewed the agenda of bilateral dialogue mechanisms, both in the political sphere, as well as in the economic-commercial and sectoral spheres.

Minister Fuentes and Ambassador Cai Wei agreed on the importance of Chile and China continuing to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation at multiple levels.
