The Ministry of Finance of the Afghan Taliban has announced an agreement with Iran to acquire 350,000 tons of crude oil, according to the latest bulletin from the authorities collected by Aamaj News.
The agreement takes place after a trip to Iran by the Taliban Finance, Treasury and Commerce delegations in which they signed a contract with an Iranian joint-stock company for the purchase of 350,000 tons of oil, and in the coming days the process of its import to Afghanistan.
Also, during this trip, the Taliban delegation discussed with Iranian officials the purchase, quality, price and transit of petroleum products.
Likewise, the Taliban and Iranian authorities agreed to establish a joint committee on the joint construction of pipelines, refineries and the implementation of long-term crude oil contracts.
