Johnny Depp is reportedly trying to settle an alleged assault case before it goes to court.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor previously requested that the cast be fired after claiming he “feared for his safety” and that of director Brad Furman, arguing the alleged assault was in self-defense and the “defense of others.”

In Gregg’s legal papers, the crew member criticized the ‘Lone Ranger’ star for his conduct, claiming it “was willful and malicious and was done for the purpose of causing the plaintiff to suffer humiliation.”

And he claimed that Johnny’s “intoxication and temper created a hostile, abusive and unsafe work environment,” which eventually resulted in Johnny assaulting him during the filming of the crime thriller when he tried to enforce a permit restriction overnight. of filming.

Gregg claimed that he was ultimately fired from the film when he refused to sign a release waiving his right to sue over the incident.

His lawyer, Arbella Azizian, said in a statement: “My client wants to ensure that Mr. Depp is held accountable for his conduct on set so that others do not find themselves in the same situation in the future.”

When reports of an alleged altercation first emerged earlier this year, director Brad Furman defended Johnny, praising the actor as a “consummate professional.”
