Mojang, company responsible for Minecraft sent a clear message that shook the world: NFTs will never be a part of Minecraft for all that they represent. That the company behind one of the biggest games of the decade sent such a message did not go unnoticed. In fact, it hit an NFT game so hard that it eventually crashed.
What happens is that NFT Worldsa crypto game with NFT that is based on Minecraft, suffered severely from Mojang’s announcement. We say this since the price of its NFTs plummeted 62.65%. This means that each of your NFTs is now only worth $0.01 USD, a minuscule price.
The bad news does not end there for NFT Worlds and who invested money in it hoping to make a profit. What happens is that his value reached a point where it was 98% lower than its historical maximum and it already seems difficult that at some point it can be recovered.
But why the ad? Minecraft affected so much NFT Worlds? The thing is, this project uses Mojang’s game to build “decentralized gaming metaverses” to present a “play-to-earn” platform where world owners can create metaverse or gaming experiences.

Thus, Mojang’s announcement means that NFT Worlds it cannot exist, or at least not in the way it currently does. In this way, its creators will be forced to find an alternative or simply watch their project die.
“We are working on this internally and are devoting all our resources to finding solutions around the changes in the Terms of Service of Minecraftas well as pivots for the ecosystem NFT Worlds and the team, if necessary”, explained the people behind the project.
Among the possible solutions for NFT Worlds there is the possibility of creating a game engine similar to Minecraft for NFT World or use GameFi.

What did Mojang say about NFTs in Minecraft?
Now, what did Mojang say about NFTs in Minecraft? The company made it clear that integrations between NFTs and Minecraft they have no place, so they will not allow them. This is because these systems have a model that goes against the spirit of Minecraft.
“NFT integrations with Minecraft they are not something that we will support or allow (…) We have these rules to ensure that Minecraft continue to be a community where everyone has access to the same content. NFTs, however, can create patterns of scarcity and exclusion that conflict with our guidelines and the spirit of the game,” Mojang said.
