Microsoft has just confirmed that Discord will come to both Xbox Series X | S and Xbox Oneso players can have online voice chat no matter what kind of game they’re in, as well as being able to have a private voice channel outside of the voice chat of the game they’re playing.
Adding Discord support to Xbox was one of the most requested features from Microsofta feature that allows players to chat with their friends on other platforms and better communicate with their friends when playing games with crossplay, while also taking advantage of the other features that Discord has to offer.
Xbox players will be able to switch between Discord Voice and Xbox Game Chatsomething that will work especially well in the previous case in which we can find ourselves outside of an Xbox, as would be the case with PC.
Having said that, Discord is currently available exclusively for Xbox Insiderswhich means that not all Xbox users can use Discord at this time. Existing Discord users can now link their Discord and Xbox accounts to allow the use of their Discord accounts directly from the interface of the respective consoles.
