The version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PC seeks to take advantage of the most modern equipment, so it will present different technical improvements compared to the PS5 version. “Our goal was to create a visually stunning PC game, and to do so we had to offer extensive configuration options suitable for PC users and their varieties of hardware, as well as introduce new techniques and tools to make everything work even better,” says Mike Fitzgerald, chief technology officer at Insomniac Games. The improvements can be seen in the trailer that accompanies the news and are the following:
- Ray tracing support. Reflections have different levels of quality, including a new, higher-quality ray tracing mode that offers more detail.
- Nvidia DLSS technology boosts graphics performance on GeForce RTX cards, allowing you to game at higher FPS without compromising image quality.
- Nvidia DLAA technology applies AI-based anti-aliasing mode to further enhance image quality.
- Different resolutions as well as support for different monitor formats, including 21:9 ultrawide, 32:9 widescreen, and multi-display systems
- Additional quality levels and algorithmic options (SSAO, texture filtering, level of detail quality, shadows…
- Support for window mode, full screen, and exclusive full screen rendering modes
In addition to PC graphics features, there’s also support for controllers like DualSense, with its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The classic mouse and keyboard will continue to be available. “We have worked very hard to add high-end graphics features for users with powerful computers and modern graphics cards, but we have also tried to make sure that everyone, no matter what PC they have, can enjoy Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. to the max,” says Fitzgerald.
