69 injured in clashes outside home of former Pakistani prime minister

() — Sixty-nine people have been injured in Lahore, Pakistan, as clashes between police and supporters of Imran Khan continued into Tuesday night, according to a local police official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The police source has told that 34 police officers have been injured, and 35 were protesters opposing the arrest of Imran Khan.

The weapons that have been found outside the residents are sticks, but the police source said that people inside Imran Khan’s residence do have weapons.

A video shared by Khan’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), on social media shows tear gas being fired at Imran Khan’s property on Wednesday. The cartridges fall on the ground outside the house and also on the roof of the property; the video is filmed from the roof.

The PTI stated on its official Twitter account that the “Residence of the President of the PTI @ImranKhanPTI is under attack.”

This is the latest round of tear gas fired at the residence by police since they arrived to arrest Khan on Tuesday afternoon.
