6.4 magnitude earthquake shakes Chile, according to the USGS

( Spanish) — An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 shook Chile on Saturday night, according to reports from the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The seismic focus was located at a depth of 10.1 kilometers and the epicenter was located 18 kilometers north-northwest of Lebu. Concepción is located 89 kilometers to the northeast.

The National Emergency Office of the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security of Chile (Onemi) reported in its account Twitter that is evaluating possible damages but so far there are no reports of victims.
