The Prime Minister of Thailand Has expressed their satisfaction with the inclusion of 5 Thai beaches in the ranking of the 100 best beaches on the planet published by the website worldbeachguide.com.
Koh Kradan, in Trang province, was ranked number one on the list of the 100 best beaches in the world. Railay Beach in Krabi ranked ninth on the list, Freedom Beach in Phuket ranked 18th and Laem Had Beach on Koh Yao Yai, Phang-nga ranked 21st. Ao Tanote, on Koh Tao (Surat Thani), ranks 44th.
The website stated that Thailand is known for its beautiful beaches. Koh Kradan is an unspoilt gem that can be accessed without going too far off the beaten track. Part of the Hat Chao Mai National Park, the island is just a couple of hours south of Phuket and close to Phi Phi Island. The website notes that Koh Kradan is “a world apart” from the nearby destinations mentioned, possessing all the natural beauty of both, but lacking the crowds and noise.

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has welcomed the ranking, which he said illustrates the popularity of Thai marine tourist attractions among foreign tourists and also reflects tourists’ confidence in these places.

He expressed his gratitude to the tourism-related agencies in the public and private sectors for amplifying this popularity among tourists and supporting activities of interest to tourists. He said that this allowed each province to present its style, activities, cuisine, traditions and culture, all contributing to tourism in Thailand.
This year, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is promoting Thai tourism under the concept of Visit Thailand Year 2023 : Amazing New Chapters. The goal is to create meaningful experiences of lasting value for tourists.
