17 places to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Baton Rouge | Entertainment/Life

Baton Rouge loves a party and New Year’s Eve is no exception.

The city’s largest celebration, Red Stick Revelry, on Tuesday night will take place downtown from 8 pm to midnight at Rhorer Plaza, 200 St. Louis St. and North Boulevard Town Square. The night begins with music from DJ Incredible on the Crest Stage, followed by live music from Royal Essence at 9 p.m. The countdown to 2025 begins just before midnight, and then the 9-foot, LED-lit Red Stick, descends the pole that marks the new beginning of the year. Afterwards, fireworks will light up the sky over the Mississippi River.

Kenneth Austin “JestKinni”

Kenneth Austin ‘JestKinni’ will take the stage at The Tunnel at Hilton Capitol Center for laughs at the Low Speakeasy comedy show on New Year’s Eve.

The family celebration is free.

The fun doesn’t end there, as at least 16 more parties will be held at museums, nightclubs and hotels in the city. There’s also likely to be live music at your favorite neighborhood bar. See The Advocate’s “Shows to Watch” column elsewhere in the Red section.
