15-year-old boy killed, 17 injured in Russian airstrikes in Donetsk

A 15-year-old boy was killed and 17 others were injured Thursday afternoon in a series of Russian airstrikes targeting two towns in Ukraine-controlled areas of the disputed Donetsk region.

“The occupiers have dealt a double blow to the residential area of ​​Mirnograd in the Pokrovsk district. As a result of the shelling, a 15-year-old boy was killed and, according to preliminary data, 13 people were injured, including two teenagers,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said.

The other bombing took place against the village of Raigorodok, where four people were injured, according to a statement posted on its Telegram channel.

The authority has estimated that dozens of houses have been damaged, in addition to administrative buildings, shops, cars and agricultural buildings, among which two commercial buildings and a five-storey residential building have been damaged in fire.
