10 dead and seven injured after shooting at a bar in Querétaro, Mexico

( Spanish) — This Saturday, the head of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat of Querétaro, Juan Luis Ferrusca Ortiz, reported the death of 10 people and seven more injuries from firearms inside a bar located in that municipality.

The official said that, according to reports, there were four people who entered the establishment where they opened fire on those who were killed and wounded.

Ferrusca Ortiz added that there is a detainee and that the whereabouts of the truck was found that had the same license plate number that witnesses gave to the authorities, but he noted that it was incinerated.

The head of the Security Secretariat added that they will continue with the operations to find those responsible for the events.

For his part, the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, said this Sunday in X which issued “instructions to care for the relatives of the people who lost their lives, the Secretary of Health provides timely follow-up to treatment of the injured and coordinates psychological support for people who were at the scene.”

“I reiterate to Querétaro society that there will be punishment for those responsible for this brutal act,” he added.
