The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, stressed this Friday that his country has managed to prevail over Russia on the information battlefield despite the weapons potential of its opponent in this war.
“I think we have traveled this path very well. We are not finished yet, but we have made ourselves heard. The information in our hands has begun to be a powerful weapon,” he emphasized in a conversation with Irish students.
In this sense, Zelenski has also stressed that despite the fact that “Russia has more weapons on the battlefield”, they have been able to surpass them “in the information space”, says the Ukrinform agency.
During his speech this Friday at an event with the student community in Ireland, the Ukrainian president wanted to delegitimize Russian “propaganda”, mentioning recent sanctions issued by the Kremlin against fifty politicians in the country.
“The restrictions imposed by Russia do not particularly affect anything. This is more of a propaganda technique so that on Russian television they can lie, as if Russia is capable of something in diplomacy,” he said.
On the other hand, he has also questioned Russia’s signature on the joint declaration of the countries that have participated in the last G20 summit held in Bali, Indonesia, since it “violates most of the principles” that it promises to uphold.
Thus, he has pointed out that Russia mobilizes all its resources for the war and become “the largest terrorist state in history” while claiming to be in favor of defending international law, or claims to take measures to promote energy stability while launching missiles. against power and gas production plants in Ukraine.
