Zelensky calls on the Russian population to revolt against Putin

Sep. 30 () –

The Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelenski, has called on the Russian population to rebel against the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, claiming that it is the only way to stop the war in Ukraine.

“This can still be stopped. But to stop it, they have to stop the one in Russia who wants war more than life. His life, citizens of Russia,” the Ukrainian president said in an evening message.

Zelenski has explained to the inhabitants of the multi-ethnic region of the Caucasus and Siberia in Russia that the annexation by Russia of the Ukrainian regions of Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson will not mean “what the Kremlin expects”.

Instead, the president has claimed that Russia will fill the graves in the “occupied” territories and set up torture rooms for the proper functioning of the Russian police and special services.

“The law in Russia has been erased. And those who brought all these deaths, torture, violations from Russia will take them home,” Zelensky added.

He also recalled that, so far, 58,000 Russians have died in Ukraine, a figure that has not been confirmed by Moscow and that could increase after the partial mobilization announced by Putin last week.
