Recently YouTube had tightened the rules on the platform in terms of profanity., something that was not taken well by the creators who count on it as part of their style, and especially considering that YouTube Kids exists for something. Among the absurd rules of this policy, there was the practice of demonetizing videos that contained foul language in the first 8 seconds.
Google has undone this changeso that the creators who until now used certain foul language but accepted by the platform for years they will still be able to monetize their videos – and most importantly, they will not see tens or hundreds of videos spontaneously demonetized – although there are still some other ineligible words.
This also affects the choice of music that creators can usesince it is known throughout the world that there is a lot of music that has foul language that does not cause problems for anyone, and although under the new regulations this music could leave us without ads, and therefore, without income, now it seems that nothing will happen about it.
Again, just as we mentioned with the ad policy, We don’t know if this is related to the arrival of the new CEO on the platform, but these are definitely welcome changes.
