WhatsApp enables filters and wallpapers for video calls

In total 10 filters and 10 backgrounds were integrated. The options are:

• Blur
• Living room
• Office
• Café
• Shingle
• food lover
• Smoothness
• Beach
• Sunset
• Celebration
• Forest

Retouching and low light options were also added.

To access these options it is necessary to have the latest update of the app and follow these steps during a video call (whether individual or group)

• Select the effects icons at the top right of the screen.
• Go to the filters or backgrounds section (depending on user preference).
• Click on the filter or background of your choice.

WhatsApp detailed that these effects will be available to all people in the coming weeks.
