This can be achieved downloading Gboard, the Google keyboard. First, you must choose the two emojis you want to use and a bar similar to the autocorrect one will appear, but this time you will be able to see the combinations suggested by the system. The feature was announced at the end of 2023 but it is until May 30 that all devices with Android 8 or later will have access to this function.
Editing messages and more
There’s also a new feature for its messaging app, Google Messages, which introduces the ability to edit sent messages. This allows users to modify sent messages within a 15-minute period, offering a convenient way to correct errors or adjust the content of messages after they have been sent.
The process to edit messages is simple. Users must tap and hold the message they want to edit. When you do this, a pencil icon will appear at the top of the screen. By selecting this icon, users can access an editing interface to make necessary changes to the message.
In addition, its instant hotspot function is being improved, making it even easier to connect between devices. With this update, users will be able to connect an Android tablet or Chromebook to their phone’s hotspot with a single tap, without needing to enter a password. This makes connection quick and easy.
The update allows you to easily switch between connected devices, such as phones, tablets, or web browsers, during Google Meet calls. You only need to touch the Cast icon to transfer the call to the desired device. These improvements will become available starting June 10 for phones, foldable devices, and tablets running Android 11 or later.
The Google Home widget, which allows users to quickly view and control their most used smart home devices, is now available in public preview and can be added to the home screen on Android phones. Starting today, smartwatches running Wear OS 3 or later can also run the Google Home Favorites tile, along with a new PayPal option for Google Wallet in the US and Germany.
