() — The University of Oklahoma tweeted late Friday that the University of Oklahoma Police Department is investigating reports of possible gunshots on the Norman campus. Minutes before, he had posted on Twitter that an armed attacker was on campus.

The University of Oklahoma Police Department “continues to investigate possible shootings on the Norman campus. Avoid the South Oval area. Please continue to shelter in place,” the tweet read.

Earlier in the evening, the university tweeted that “there is an armed attacker at the Van Vleet Oval” and urged people to take action.
