The UN Security Council has condemned “in the strongest terms” recent terrorist attacks targeting civilians in Afghanistan, including the attack near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on March 27 attributed to Islamic State in which seven people died. and several were injured.

The members of this Council have wanted to express their “sympathy and condolences with the families of the victims” and have “wished a speedy recovery to all the injured”.

“Terrorism in all forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to peace and security in Afghanistan, as in the entire world,” they added.

They have stressed that all “perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of terrorist acts” must be brought to justice, so that all states must comply with “their obligations under international law and the resolutions of the Council itself.”

“All acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of the motivation, place, date or who commits them” have ended.
