The purpose of the fund is to bring undergraduate students closer to scientific research, through the delivery of an economic contribution for the execution of terminal curricular activities with a scientific and/or technological base, such as degree projects, professional qualification work, projects degree completion or equivalent denomination. The results of this call are available here.
Students from the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, Sciences, Theological Studies and Philosophy, and Communication, History and Social Sciences gathered at the meeting. The instance allowed the benefited students to share more details about their projects and their purpose. Likewise, the student community was able to learn more about this support fund, its main benefits and the modality for the rendering of expenses.
Regarding this activity, the Director of Research, Dr. Lorena Gerli, highlighted that »we learned a lot on this day. It was a very enriching experience. There was also participation of teachers who contributed in this instance. It was a day of much learning, both for the students and for us, the professors of the University. We realized the quality, the training of our students, and the research work they are carrying out ».
Monserrat Neira, a UCSC Nursing student, said she was »very happy to be able to award me this fund in support of my thesis, which consists of digital literacy intervention in older people. I believe that the opportunity that the University gives us to participate in these projects is very positive for our growth and learning. They give us fundamental support for the development of our thesis. I am very happy and grateful to the Research Department and the University”.
