Two Rome Metro stations evacuated due to fire

MADRID Dec. 29 () –

The Rome Metro stations in Spain and Flaminio, in the center of the capital, had to be evacuated this Sunday due to dense smoke caused by a fire.

The fire would have been outside the Metro facilities, but it entered them and caused the evacuation of these two central stations, according to the Italian news agency AGI.

Firefighters, Carabineros and Police have traveled to the scene. The fire started in an abandoned construction site on George Washington Street, near Villa Borghese.

Firefighters have reported that a 16-year-old boy has been poisoned by smoke. An ambulance picked up the minor near Villa Borghese and transferred him with code red to the Hospital del Niño Jesús.
