There’s been a feature on Twitter for a while now that It allows us to decide, in a general way, who can reply to our tweets and who cannot. However, it seems that this is not enough, something evident when there are only two settings to choose from, and this does not prevent them from mentioning us in other threads.
That is why, as we read on Jane Manchun Wong’s Twitter account, Twitter is trying to implement a new feature that It will also allow us to control who can mention us in a conversation, something that will be very useful if we find someone who is chasing us through the social network.
Obviously, just like the first feature we mentioned, this can be turned into yet another tool to create what are popularly known as echo chambers, that they are still controlled environments in which only like-minded people are allowed to speak, as would be the case with deniers, to promote an idea of this type.
Be that as it may, it is a security and privacy functionality that should arrive soon on the social networkso you have to be careful.
